Is there early voting in Pennsylvania?

No, only certain registered voters qualify for an absentee ballot. You qualify for an absentee ballot if you will be away from your polling place Nov 8, 2016, because of work, school, medical or other reasons. Go to iAmerica.org/votePA for a list of people who qualify for an absentee ballot.

No. The only way to vote before Election Day on Nov. 8, 2016, is to ask for an absentee ballot and vote by mail.

Yes, when you fill out the absentee ballot application you will need to include either: Your 4 driver’s license number; or Your PennDOT ID number. If you don’t have a driver’s license, or PennDOT ID, then you can use the last four digits of your Social Security number. If you don’t have a driver’s license, PennDOT ID or Social Security number, you must include a copy of an accepted photo ID to apply for an absentee ballot. Go to iAmerica.org/votePA for a list of acceptable ID.

When do I need to return the absentee ballot?

Your county board of elections must receive your absentee ballot by Nov. 4, 2016, at 5 p.m. Postmarks don’t count.
