EARTH AND SPACE HOMEWORK TASKS
Scotland Homework Tasks P4-7 During the next 4 weeks your child will participate in a “different” type of homework. They have to select a minimum of 3 activities from the tasks below. After 4 weeks, please return this recording sheet and evaluation form. This style of homework is designed to enhance your child’s learning by continuing to involve them in meaningful activities with your support. Templates for the postcard, shield and acrostic poem activity can be obtained from your teacher.
Tasks should be completed by Wednesday 23rd November, but can be submitted any time before then. Poetry Write an acrostic poem. The title is SCOTLAND.
Art Design and create a new Clan crest shield.

Fact File Create a fact file about a famous Scottish town or City.
Technology Design and make a 3D model of a famous Scottish landmark - (You could use boxes, lego, clay, plasticine – any medium you like!) Signature
Quiz Make a quiz about ‘Scotland’ for your friends to solve. Your quiz should have 10 questions.
Language Write a postcard to a friend describing a holiday in Oban. What places have you visited? Remember to include a picture.
Art Draw a famous Scottish person. It can be drawn in pencil, crayons, chalks or pastels.
Research Interview a relative/local member of the community about their favourite memory of Oban. You could record or film your interview!

Technology Make a model or a collage picture of a local landmark such as Dunollie Castle, McCaig's Tower, St Columba's Cathedral or anything else local. Signature

Success criteria The 3 chosen tasks must be completed and signed off on the attached sheet. Tasks should be completed on paper or card. (If you require any materials please ask) Tasks should be well presented as a selection will be put on display. You may do more than 3 if you wish!!!!!!!
