Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Supporters of East Lansing High School Athletes: Welcome to the 2014-15 academic year at ELHS! The ELHS Athletic Boosters Club is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization run by parents and community volunteers who support and fund-raise for ALL of the athletic programs at East Lansing High School. It is an integral part of the East Lansing athletic experience and an organization that provides a voice for athletes and their parents for all school sports at every level. One hundred percent of your tax-exempt donation benefits our East Lansing athletes and programs. Through parents’ and community members’ generous past contributions, patronage of our various concessions stands, and purchase of East Lansing Spiritwear; the Boosters have been able to financially assist the East Lansing athletic programs throughout the years. We have contributed toward the construction of the new concession stand, team rooms, and trainer’s room at the football stadium; cheerleading mats and uniforms; girls’ basketball uniforms; swimming team warm-ups; tennis uniforms; wrestling mats; equipment replacement for football; rain suits for our golf team; golf carts and tarps to cover team benches at the soccer complex; completion of the soccer complex; uniforms for the track team; uniforms for cross country team; banners for the gymnasium; locking ball cage for our girls’ volleyball team, and support for athletes who are unable to pay the pay-to participate fee. As you can see, the Boosters Club welcomes requests from all sports! Our organization operates concessions at home football, soccer, volleyball, and basketball games and selected other athletic events. The proceeds from concessions go into the general fund for Boosters and allow us to support a wide variety of sports and activities. We need support from all parents as volunteers since the proceeds are provided to all sports. It is great fun, and you not only get to meet other parents and community members, but many of our wonderful East Lansing students and families. We are so proud of the many accomplishments of our student - athletes. We have had multiple athletes who have been recognized with All-State Status, Academic-All-State, Dream Teams, All-Area Teams, All-Conference Teams, and Conference and Area Academic Honors. We are so proud of all of the athletes who prepare and compete weekly with integrity and commitment. We invite you to join us at Boosters Club meetings that are held on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Media Center at ELHS.
