Cable Street should be a ‘cycling street’ free from through motor traffic and safe for all ages to travel easily on foot or by cycle. As a step towards this we are supporting LBTH's proposal to stop ratrunning motor traffic enabling people to cycle west-bound in the carriage-way and east-bound on the segregated track.
CS2U Update Last newsletter we updated you on our ‘Love Whitechapel Market campaign’ to persuade market traders to not oppose the essential upgrade works. Unfortunately, TfL presented highly watered down plans that offer no segregation around the market. THW have expressed severe concerns around the updated proposal and accompanied the Green Party’s Darren Johnson as he took his questions regarding cyclist st safety to Mayors Question Time on 21 January. The team relies heavily on volunteers and if you think you might be able to help, please get in touch with

Dr Bike’s Top Tips Each newsletter we plan on bringing you some top bicycle tips from our very own man in the know, Dr Bike. This month he’s got some sound advise to keep your bicycle moving: Inflating your tyres to their correct pressure will not only improve the ride but will also reduce the risk of punctures. Look on the side of the tyre for a number followed by PSI (pounds per square inch) and use a floor pump with a pressure gauge to inflate the tyre to its recommended pressure. Carry a puncture repair kit (plus inner tube), a pump, tyre levers, small multitool and a spanner to remove your wheels easily.
