ECE-RJ Trip to Israel February 2018 Ready to embark on the trip of a lifetime??? Join ECE-RJ (Early Childhood Educators of Reform Judaism) on a 10-day educational experience in Israel. This learning opportunity, in partnership with Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, promises to be a meaningful, high-level experience, and an engaging and fun exploration of the land, the people, and the educational landscape of Israel. A diverse and dynamic delegation of colleagues, including directors, teachers, clergy, and specialists, will dive into this exciting material, and work collaboratively to integrate the lessons of Israel into our own practice. We will spend quality-time with our IMPJ (Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism) Early Childhood colleagues, and visit historic sites that will inform our own views of Israel, and deepen our personal connection to Israel. We are thrilled that Dr. Lesley Litman is working with our ECE-RJ Israel steering committee, to co-construct a meaningful experience for our participants. Lesley is the Director of the Executive M.A. Program in Jewish Education. She also consults to The iCenter in the area of curriculum design and professional development in Israel education. She spent over a decade living in Israel. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to view Israel through the early childhood Jewish educator lens, with trusted, and esteemed colleagues. It truly will be the trip of a lifetime! Dates: Feb 18-28, 2018 (With extension before and after for those interested.) Estimated Costs: $ 2800-3200 per-person based on double occupancy. Price includes gratuity for the driver and tour educator. Participants are responsible for their own flights. Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $360 is due by May 15, 2017.
