ECSE 291B Electrical Measurements Laboratory Review for Lab Test #1 • Items to bring:  Pencil  Eraser  Calculator  McGill ID card • You will be provided with:  Resistor color code chart  Op-amp (MC1458) chip diagram & DC supply connection diagram 

Function generator



DC supply



Oscilloscope



All necessary components (i.e., resistors, capacitors, op-amp IC, cables, new wires)



Wire cutters

• One circuit …. Several questions  Read questions before assembling circuit  You may only need to assemble part of circuit to answer initial question(s)! • Concepts to be tested:  Single-ended voltage measurements  Floating voltage measurements  Reading error, e.g.: (4.0 ± 0.1) x 0.1 = 0.40 ± 0.01 V  Phase measurement of single-ended and floating voltages (leading, lagging?)  Method of output resistance measurement  Non-inverting op-amp circuit  Current measurement with oscilloscope!
