Recommended Preventive Maintenance Procedures for Pneumatic Eddie Bolt™ Installation Tools The Eddie Bolt™ installation tool is designed to perform to the original specifications for many years if simple preventive maintenance procedures are performed on a regularly scheduled basis. Most tools consist of four major components: 1. Pneumatic motor 2. Off-set gear housing 3. 360º Index Unit (Optional) 4. Extended Sockets, and Spline-Lok™ Key Systems (Optional) Preventive Maintenance Procedures: Sockets & Spline-Lok™ Key Accessories – Weekly • Check the socket gear or extended socket for wear with the appropriate gauge [ref: EB2G2000-(*) ] • Replace worn or broken Spline-Lok™ key • Replace worn or broken retainer spring • Clean internal drive socket of sealant, dirt, etc. The Pneumatic Motor – Every 30 Days • The motor should be lubricated with lightweight oil. • Check that all fittings, fasteners and joints are tightened properly. The Offset Gear Head – Every 60 Days • Tighten all screws, especially cover plate attachment screws. • Check for external damage, cracks in gear housing due to tool being dropped. • The gear head is equipped with a grease fitting and should be lubricated with Mobil lubricant Mobilith® AW1 or AW2 (full synthetic) or equivalent, using a standard grease gun. • The tool should be connected to the air supply and run. If excessive vibration is noticed, the gear housing should be opened and the gears and bearings should be checked for wear or breakage. The 360º Index Unit – Every 60 Days • Check and tighten any screws and lubricate with light oil.

Recommended Preventive Maintenance Procedures for Pneumatic Eddie Bolt™ Installation Tools The Eddie Bolt™ installation tool is designed to perform to the original specifications for many years if simple preventive maintenance procedures are performed on a regularly scheduled basis. Most tools consist of four major components: 1. Pneumatic motor 2. Off-set gear housing 3. 360º Index Unit (Optional) 4. Extended Sockets, and Spline-Lok™ Key Systems (Optional) Preventive Maintenance Procedures: Sockets & Spline-Lok™ Key Accessories – Weekly • Check the socket gear or extended socket for wear with the appropriate gauge [ref: EB2G2000-(*) ] • Replace worn or broken Spline-Lok™ key • Replace worn or broken retainer spring • Clean internal drive socket of sealant, dirt, etc. The Pneumatic Motor – Every 30 Days • The motor should be lubricated with lightweight oil. • Check that all fittings, fasteners and joints are tightened properly. The Offset Gear Head – Every 60 Days • Tighten all screws, especially cover plate attachment screws. • Check for external damage, cracks in gear housing due to tool being dropped. • The gear head is equipped with a grease fitting and should be lubricated with Mobil lubricant Mobilith® AW1 or AW2 (full synthetic) or equivalent, using a standard grease gun. • The tool should be connected to the air supply and run. If excessive vibration is noticed, the gear housing should be opened and the gears and bearings should be checked for wear or breakage. The 360º Index Unit – Every 60 Days • Check and tighten any screws and lubricate with light oil.
