EDGEMONT Monday, February 6, 2017 Day 3 1. TODAY, MONDAY, 2/6: Phaedrus presentation for interested 10th and 11th graders in the A-School during period 5. Be sure to have permission from your teachers if you are missing class.
2. All Students: The Senior Class will be selling Heart Grams during lunch TODAY through Thursday 2/8. Send your friends a valentine message and carnation. Deliveries will take place during period 1 on 2/14. (MM) ---------------------------------------------------------------
3. Talk Politics will be meeting on Tuesday, 2/7 at 3 p.m. in A-4. (KR 4. 7. Honors Qualifying Essay: 9th, 10th, and 11th graders interested in possibly entering an English honors or Advanced Senior class next year, please come to the LGI at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, 2/8. You will be asked to read a short piece of literature and write an essay in response. P.S. It's a good idea to discuss your interest with your English teacher first! (LS) 8. Club de Français meets Wednesday, 2/8 at 7:50 dans la classe E-1. (BAS)
9. The NYSUT Food Bank Drive is taking place again this year TODAY- Monday, 2/13. Collection boxes will be in the front entrance to school. Suggested items: Canned goods: tuna, salmon, chicken,
stew, chili, beans, fruits, vegetables, soups.
Plastic containers (NO GLASS): peanut butter, jams and jelly, juices (not refrigerated), (ketchup, mustard, etc.) Personal Hygiene—toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap.
PLEASE DO NOT BRING IN ANY PERISHABLE ITEMS or GOODS CONTAINED IN GLASS. (RC)

on Wednesday, 2/8. Students and teachers will give a brief presentation and answer questions. We’d love to have you, but attendance is not required to apply. (CK) 11. There will be a special session of the Curriculum Review Committee held on Wednesday, 2/8 at 3:15 in E7. Proposed changes to the course offerings and sequence of the English department will be considered and discussed. All are welcome to attend. (WS) 12. Final Project presentations in the A-School are open for visits from prospective students through Friday, 2/10. 15. At an invitational tournament this past weekend, the Academic Challenge Club walked away with another first place finish in the A division. The team is now ranked # 1 in the region. Congratulations to James Brandfonbrener, Vivek Rao Pothuraju, Federico Reyes Gomez, and Jocelyn Wexler !! (JS)
