Digital Hosting platform relaunch • Took 3 years from initial tender to the launch of the newly designed site. • Goals: refresh the site design; ensure the site was designed responsively for use on mobile and tablet devices; showcase our OA publishing.

• Actions: surveyed users, put together wireframes, tendered for a designer, agreed on designs for the main pages and then rigorous testing. • Worked with Renew Publishing Consultants.

Production Typesetting and production • External typesetter and printer.

Backfile digitisation and archive • 2011: digitised a wide range of back content across our journals and launched our Edinburgh Journals Archive (all content prior to 2000) • Worked with external typesetter • Archive now contains over 700 issues and 80,000 pages – sold for one-off purchase to institutions • Premium subscriptions
