560 James Samuel Seay was th son of Samuel (Sam) and Maggie Seay. Ja es was nine years old when his father m ved the family from Bailing Springs, South C rolina, to Henrietta, North Carolina. When ames came of age he went to work in the H nrietta Cotton Mill. There he met Vada Meldol Lowery, b. 6 Jan. 1919, and wed 4 Feb. 19 8. ~Iames and Vada had three children. In 19 4 James was drafted into the U.S. Army, 'II ere he served until the war ended. After return ng home from the army he worked in the Hen ietta Mill until his death 28 June 1973.

James Samuel and Vada Seay;s children are, Billy Samuel Perry Seay, b. 11 Dec. 1938, wed Roberta Ann Yarbrough, b. 5 Aug. 1938. They have two children, Kevin Scott Seay, b. 23 Aug. 1961, Lesley Lynn Seay, b. 17 Feb. 1961.
After Samuel's wife Maggie died in 1928, he moved his family from Boiling Springs, S.C. to Rutherford Co. N. C. There he went to work in the Henrietta cotton mill where he worked for

Vickie Marlene Green, b. 10 Nov. 1961, wed Lowell Kieth Duncan, b. 20 Feb. 1956. Vickie and Lowell have one child, Kieley Brooke Duncan, b. 24 July 1983. Joseph Scott Green, b. 10 July 1966. Joseph James Seay Jr. b. 19 Dec. 1942, wed Patricia Ann Frye, b. 12 Feb. 1948. They have two children, William Edward Seay, b. 11
12 years before moving to Danville, Va. All of Sam's children moved to Danville but one. Samuel (Sam) and Maggie Brown had six children: Frankie Louie Seay, b. 21 Dec. 1911 in Valley Falls, S.C., d. 26 Feb. 1939 and is buried in Danville, Va. He wed Annie Mae Fowler b. 1 July 1914. They had two children, Robert Lewis Seay and Betty !I.nn Seay. Leonard Seay, b. 16 Dec. 1912, d. 18 Sept. 1982, is buried in Boiling Springs, S.C. He wed Lila Maude Gentry 5 May 1934. They had two children, William Maurice Seay and David
Feb. 1964, wed Angelia Renee Whitlnr.,k, 25, Feb. 1983. Rebecca Elizabeth Seay, b. 25 \i.\ March, 1966. All of James and Vada Seay's children reside in Rutherford County.

561 William H. Seay, b. 30 Mar. 1857, was the son of Reuben and Francis Woody Seay. He was a farmer until his death 13 Feb. 1938 in Boiling Springs, S.C. He wed Zenith Clemmentine Cook, b. 15 May 1858 in South Carolina, d. 6 Jan. 1922 and is buried in Boiling Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Zenith was the daughter of Alfred and Sarah Jane Seay. Sarah Jane Seay is the daughter of Capt. Williamson Seay, which makes her a double Seay. William H. and Zenith Clemmentine Cook Seay issue: James Belton Seay b. 8 Oct. 1879, d. Sept. 1951, m. They had nine children, Bruce Wayne Seay, Joyce Seay, John Samuel Seay, Christine Seay, Timothy Neal Seay, J.W. Seay, Ronnie Seay, Robert Maurice Seay, and James Donald. James Samuel Seay, b. 1 Sept. 1918, died 28 June 1973. He wed Vada iV1eldora Lowery and they had three children, Billy Samuel Seay, Trina Fay Seay and Joseph James Seay
Jr. Violet Seay, b. 10 June 1921, d. 13 Mar. 1979, is buried in Trenton, N.J. She wed Fred James ancl had one child, Nancy Ruth, b. 9 Sept. 1940. Lillie Seay, b. 3 jar.. 1925, wed Lloyd Crain and they had two children, Jeanie and Annetta Crain. Sources:

To this union were born five girls and three boys: Mary Self married Grover Robbs March 10, 1910 (d) ? They had three children, Lillie (b) Sept. 25, 1911, married John Humphries. He died April, 1975. They had two children, Joe and Charles Humphries. One son, James Robbs (b). I~ug 26, 1915, married to Mallie Ramsey. They had four chi!dren, 2 girls and two boys. Third girl Janett, she married Horace Povvell. They had 12 children (all living) Horace (d) Oct. 6, 1964, Martha, second daughter filled an early grave married to Howard Morrow. They had three children, Clyde (d), Fred, and Lee (d), March 6, 1978. Rhode (d) March 6, 1977, married Broadus Cash. They had 4 children, 1 son (d). Three girls, Hazel married Gene Hogan, had two sons, Geneva married "Shortie" Gene Hogan (d) 7. They had 5 children, Flossie married Alfred Harmon.
