ML/LD/00084 09 June 2017 Dear Parent/ Year 11 Student I am writing as a final reminder of the situation and expectations regarding attendance at the Academy in the last few weeks. Students will be required to attend every day, up to and including Monday 12 June 2017. On Monday 12 June 2017 there is a GCSE English Language Paper during Periods 1 and 2. Students will be expected to attend Period 3 (from 11:30). Period 4 will be a Maths lesson for all Year 11 to prepare for the final GCSE Paper on Tuesday 13 June 2017. (This will include the breakdown of the Pixl Predicted Paper) Students will be allowed to get shirts and leavers books signed at lunchtime and during afternoon registration. Students should not get the shirt they are wearing signed, but should bring an additional shirt and book. Students who are taking History, Product Design, Triple Science, Child Development, or Catering will need to attend Period 5 as normal. Students will also be required to attend if they have outstanding Controlled Assessments. Students who do not take these subjects, and therefore have a lesson where the exam has already taken place will be allowed to begin study leave and will be allowed to leave the site to revise at home for the rest of the day. After Monday 12 June 2017, students should only attend for exams and for lessons where the exams are still to take place. These lessons will run as normal until the exam for that subject takes place. This is a hugely important period of time and subject teachers will expect 100% attendance at these lessons. Students should always sign in and out at the Main Reception, when attending for lessons. For exams, the exam register will be taken as the register. A private study space will be provided for students wishing to revise at the Academy during the day, again it is essential students sign in at reception. When attending the Academy students should be in full school uniform, for both lessons and exams. If students fail to attend any of the sessions they are expected to, they will run the risk of being asked not to attend the Prom or Leavers Assembly. Yours faithfully
