27th March 2017 Dear Parent/Carer, Re: Educational Visit to Barcelona – Thursday 13 July 2017 to Sunday 16 July 2017 Thank you for payment of your deposit. I confirm that your child has been offered a place on the Barcelona 2017 educational visit. I would like to take this opportunity to bring you up to date with the current situation. Due to less take-up of students than originally anticipated, the school has been liaising with the travel company to ensure that the visit still goes ahead with a smaller party size, which has resulted in the delay in correspondence with parents. The Parent Information Evening for this visit has been organised for Tuesday 6th June 2017 at 6.00pm in the Hall. The meeting will provide you with a detailed itinerary, a comprehensive ‘kit’ list and the opportunity to ask any questions that you might have. Please complete and return the reply slip below stating whether you will be able to attend. Your child must hold both a valid passport and a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) in order to take part in the visit. These documents are to be handed in at the Parent Information Evening. Unfortunately, HM Passport Office has recently experienced long delays in processing applications, therefore it is imperative that if your child is not already in possession of these documents that they are applied for promptly to avoid disappointment.
