College Visit Authorization Form Eisenhower High School has implemented this procedure for students taking college visits: 1. A Senior may take five (5) college visits per semester. 2. A Junior may take two (2) college visits second semester. 3. The absence is only waived if: ü the parent/guardian has excused the absence prior to the visit. ü the student has made a visit reservation with the college at least a week in advance of the visit date. ü this form is obtained by the student before the visit. ü the student stays for the full visit.

How To Make The Most of Your Campus Visit Please check the items on this list that you completed during this college visit. 1 Take a campus tour. 1 Have an interview with admission officer. 1 Get business cards and names of people you meet, for future contacts. 1 Pick up financial aid forms. 1 Participate in a group information session at the admission office. 1 Sit in on a class of a subject that interests you. 1 Talk to a professor in your chosen major or in a subject that interests you. 1 Talk to a coach in your chosen sport/performance area. 1 Talk to a student or counselor in the career center. 1 Spend the night in the dorm with a current student. 1 Read the student newspaper. 1 Try to find other student publications ‐department newsletters, "alternative" newspapers, literary reviews. 1 Scan bulletin boards to see what day‐to‐day student life is like. 1 Eat in the cafeteria. 1 Ask a student why he/she chose this college. 1 Wander around the campus by yourself. 1 Read for a little while in the library and see what it's like. 1 Search for your favorite books in the library. 1 Ask a student what he/she hates about the college. 1 Browse in the college bookstore. 1 Ask a student what he/she loves about the college. 1 Walk or drive around the community surrounding the campus. 1 Ask a student what he/she does on weekends. 1 Listen to the college's radio station. 1 Try to see a dorm that you didn't see on the tour. 1 Imagine yourself attending this college for four years.
