A bit about SHUK Taking inspiration from the Hebrew meaning of market place, SHUK, is located in the heart of Bondi. It has quickly become one of the favourite meeting places for locals and tourists alike. For over 40 years this location served as the local corner shop, but with their own hands, transformed the space into an elegant 80 seat establishment, offering an incredible array of Israeli/Mediterranean delights for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We use the freshest produce and dishes that promise a flavour of Israel mixed with modern favourites. Together business partners Erez Beker, Yoni Kalfus and Ariel Hefer are bringing their passion to life, sharing traditional Israeli dishes they learnt from their families back home.
A bit about Stuart Olsen, Owner and Wine maker of Eloquesta wines Born and bred in Orange in regional New South Wales, wine maker and owner Stuart Olsen, a true traditionalist at heart, has continued his foray in innovative winemaking, driven by his signature fascination with vinous perfume and minimalist intervention for over 13 years. He believes in employing traditional, hands-on methods to achieve this more natural, softer, riper, fruit driven style of wine that lets the fruit and perfumes lead the way during and after fermentation. “I don’t try to bend nature; I let her do her thing, but read the signs and watch the lunar phases and cycles. I rely on my instincts, what I see, hear and feel and I don’t employ any more technology or machinery than is necessary.”
