On our Peace Shelf is a wooden box we call our Agenda Box full of blank pieces of paper and a pencil. Students are free to write anything on that paper which they feel we need to discuss during our brief daily class meetings. In our first few days together, agenda items have included topics ranging from appropriate Free Dress wear, proper use of materials, a precaution regarding the proper way to play Pokemon Go, a note from someone who declared he/she liked the Emerald Class, and the quote above. We hope that as we continue to build our learning and loving community, we will also continue to articulate our needs and opinions appropriately. In the next few weeks, we will focus on 4: knowing, assessing, and appreciating each other. We’re learning how to get by and how to get along. Elk Grove 6-9 Olympic Games Friday, September 2nd @ 12:30-2:30pm The summer Olympic Games have ended, but the Elk Grove site will be performing their own campus Olympics with different sporting events including hurdles, javelin throw, long jump, discus throw, and more. Cleared parent volunteers are invited for this event. Sign-ups will be posted in front of the classroom. Homework:
