Event Information Eastern Michigan University first-year Head Football Coach Chris Creighton will host a spring coaching chalk talk, in conjunction with the Eagles' Saturday, April 5, spring practice. Depending on the weather, practice will take place either in Rynearson Stadium or in the Multi-Purpose Indoor Facility. Creighton and his staff will work together to host high school coaches from the state of Michigan and surrounding areas for the event. Participants will have the opportunity to watch the Eagles go through one spring practice while also learning from the EMU staff.
Registration for the event will take place at 8:00 a.m. inside the football team room located in the Convocation Center. At 8:30a.m. Coach Creighton will give an introduction and speak on building a program. Coaches will then be able to attend position meetings followed by the 10:00 a.m. practice session. Afterwards coaches are encouraged to stick around for a postpractice chalk talk with position coaches.

EMU Football 7 on 7 and Big Man Competition Camp Dates Set For June 21st 7 on 7 Eagle Competition Camp

All teams will be grouped into leagues according to the size of their respective schools. Every team registered will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. Play will be continuous throughout the day. Check-in will be Saturday, June 21st at 9AM. The camp starts at 10AM until a champion is crowned. The Shootout is for High School teams with players entering grades 9-12 the 10:00 AM fall of 2014. High School graduates may not participate. Games will be played at EMU’s Rynearson Stadium, and indoor and outdoor practice fields. Members of each team should bring cleats, helmet and mouth piece. Big Man Competition Camp Campers will be instructed in both offensive and defensive line play, including competitive drills. Check in is at 9AM on Saturday, June 21st. Camp runs from 10 AM until, 4PM. Campers should bring indoor gym shoes, cleats, helmet and mouth piece to Rynerarson Stadium. Open to all and any participants entering 9-12th grade fall of 2014.
