End Of Year 2010-2011
From The Director’s Desk… This special edition of our Starting Point newsletter was designed to provide parents a memento of the 2010/2011 school year. Although we were not able to put a picture of every activity into our last newsletter of the year, we hope we have chosen those that will help you remember what a great year this was for your child. A special thank you to those of you who volunteered at school, completed projects at home, attended our workshops and participated in the many other parent activities. Your assistance in making this a fun learning experience for all Head Start children was invaluable. On the back page of this edition you will find a list of our graduating children. They will begin Kindergarten next school year. I feel certain that they are ready for the challenges they will find there. Most of the students on this list have been enrolled in the Head Start program for two years. They are a bright, sweet group of children and I will miss them dearly. I know I can depend upon you to take good care of them and remain actively involved in their education. In addition to unconditional love, a good education is one of the most important opportunities you will ever provide for your child. A stable loving home and a solid educational foundation will put them on the road to a successful productive life. Thank you for making this a terrific year. Judie Forte’-Huff
Opportunities for learning come in many different forms. Every activity can be a lesson in math, science, language, reading, and social skills. Young children learn when they are exposed to positive, meaningful, fun experiences. Our goal was to make every minute count!
Parent and Community Involvement is an integral part of our program. Working together we have made this a year to remember. So many people have joined together this year to help our children get the support and encouragement they need to build a brighter future. This has been an incredible journey, thank you all for your continued support.
