Hello Boggess Families, We’ve completed our second week, and the children are doing a great job with classroom and campus procedures! Highlights of our week include:  With our 4th grade Back to School Meeting last Tuesday, we

have completed all the grade level meetings. (If you were not able to attend, please check your child’s MyPISD page and/or contact your child’s teacher!)  Our Watch D.O.G.S. meeting had a big turnout, and we are

grateful for all the Dads who have signed up to spend a day at school!  Our Grandparents’ Day was a success, thanks to our generous

PTA and our supportive Boggess staff. It was a fun to see all our special guests in our classrooms. Next week will be extra special for our 5th Graders, as they leave on Wednesday for Collin County Adventure Camp! Traffic continues to be a challenge around our campus, and the Murphy Police Department is working with all schools in the city to keep students safe and the traffic moving. Recommendations from the Murphy PD include:  No left turn from Glen Ridge into the carpool lane. As of Thursday,

M.P.D. has coned off the street , prohibiting a left turn from eastbound traffic on Glen Ridge.  Cars on westbound Glen Ridge must form a single lane. We can create a

double lane (one for each carpool line) on school property.  Please see the attached updated traffic map.  Thank you for your continued patience! Even with these changes, all

Boggess Elementary Traffic Map

Entry to the  building between  7:00 and 7:15 is  through the gym  doors .  Front doors  are for staff only  before 7:15.

Front Circle Drive – used for K‐2 students,  unless they are riding  with older students. Back Entrance – used  for 3‐5 students, and  for younger students in  the vehicle.  Students  enter and exit  through  the back entry of the  cafeteria. The exit on  to Mustang Ridge will  be limited to right turn  only between 7:15 ‐ 7:45 a.m. and  2:45 – 3:15 p.m. 

Do not use parking  lots for drop‐off or  pick up.

After School Carpool Pick Up  A paper plate is provided for you to  write your students’ names and grades.  Have the plate visible on your front  dash or passenger window for the  teacher to radio for your child.

No Left Turn from  Glen Ridge into the  carpool lane.

Traffic should line up east along Glen Ridge Dr. to  Ambrose then down Ambrose to avoid blocking  Murphy Rd.  Police may ticket drivers on cell phones  within the school zones or cars left unattended in  the fire lane in front of the school.
