[email protected] Come and find out more about Engineering at BAE Systems There are many exciting opportunities at BAE Systems and we want to show the wide range of advanced Defence, Aerospace and Security Solutions that are at the cutting edge of technology and high performance. We have fantastic, well-established Apprenticeship and Graduate schemes and we are leaders in Higher Apprenticeship schemes for A-Level students that encompass university degrees. You can apply for some of our apprenticeships from leaving high school. We have organised an Open Evening at BAE Systems Samlesbury (see attached poster) to demonstrate the exciting and varied Engineering work we do, including designing the cockpits of the future, inventing the intelligence systems for an unmanned aircraft or how we assemble our high technological solutions of the future. This invitation is to male and female students who are studying STEM based subjects at GCSE or A’ Level, aged 15-18.

The events will involve an exciting and informative tour around site and various interactive activities run by our enthusiastic engineers. The students attending will be accompanied around site at all times. Please note that parents will not be able to take part in the on-site tours due to limited spaces. Parents are welcome to remain in the registration venue for the duration of the evening, where refreshments and the opportunity to access information around our current Early Careers programmes will be provided. Please note we can only accept students who have registered for the event by the above deadline. Applications will be treated on a first come first served basis and will be subject to a security clearance. Please come prepared to walk between hangars on a winter’s evening i.e. warm clothing and sensible footwear is essential.
