Today's youth face a rapidly changing, sometimes chaotic world. Many of them are getting involved in issues that are important to them, such as education, poverty, racism, sexual harassment, gun violence, environmental protection, justice, gender equality. They are moving from being bystanders or victims to being advocates, organizers, and leaders. All these issues are complex and can be polarizing. This year’s seasons are designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to help them minister more effectively to young people. Connect with others in the Diocese in this ministry. Guaranteed to be worth your time!

Friday 8:00 p.m. Conflict Resolution The Rev. Canon Tony Moon, Ph.D. Conflict—which is forever with us—can be useful for building bridges in our relationships, or it can be destructive and build walls. What makes the difference? Get equipped to help others find their path for resolving conflict.

Who Would Jesus Diss? What brain science and theology can tell us about political polarization Dr. Steve Orwig Discussions involving politics seem to be increasingly characterized by contempt and scorn. What is it in our brains that makes so many of us demonize the opposition? How can we draw on our faith to help us respond lovingly without surrendering our values?

Deacon Dana serves at St. John’s Church, OKC. She has experience as a school chaplain, summer camp dean, and Christian educator.
