Prepare tuberosities for later fixation
Determine stem height and select trial head
Open medullary canal and determine retrotorsion
– Pass stay-sutures through the subscapularis, supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons – Pass two 1.0 mm cables through drill holes in the greater tuberosity
– Measure the medial metaphyseal extension on the retrieved head – Use the measurement to determine prosthetic height – Determine head size
– Open the medullary canal and insert rasps of increasing size until self-locking is obtained – The shaft will generally self-rotate – Median retrotorsion is 25°
– The distance between the deepest point in the bicipital groove and the center etch of the rasp should be approximately 8 mm

Attach trial eccenter to trial stem
Lock trial eccenter disc
Attach trial head
Adjust alignment
– Align the letter “A“ on the trial eccenter with the proximal line on the trial stem
– Lock the eccenter in place, using the 2.0 mm hex screwdriver in the proximal hole
– Align with L or R
– Adjust the alignment of the head and/or eccenter if necessary, using the 2.5 mm hex screwdriver in the proximal hole

Record offset and remove trial implants
Assemble implants
Press eccenter
Press head
– Place the stem implant in the corresponding stem holder
– Place the assembly in the press and position the eccenter impactor over the eccenter
– Place the head and stem assembly in the press

Implant prosthesis
Reduction and stable fixation of the tuberosities
Examine range of motion and stability
– Note the position of the head, eccenter, and stem
– Cemented or pressfit – Implant the prosthesis so that it protrudes according to the predetermined stem height
– Embrace and carefully secure tuberosities using two cables
