Starting in 2009, THOMMEN entered into a cooperation with TRANSAS AVIATION about the joint development of an EASA certified helicopter searchlight with innovative technology and outstanding performance.

The now available HSL-1600IR (Swiss made) outperforms any competitor regarding lighting performance, reliability, resistance to environmental conditions and, in particular, operational cost.

This project of a successful Russian-Swiss cooperation and excellent merge of Russian design with Swiss precision technology is the kick-off to an extended longterm partnership with large future growth potential (i.e. Searchlight HSL-800 for light helicopter with integrated Triple Filter Module) .
