Although it’s been raining for what seems like forever, we did manage to get some things set out and planted. Radishes-(3 fifty ft. rows each) Alta Belle, Cherry Belle, White Icicle, and Easter Egg Broccoli- (4 fifty ft. rows ) Green Comet Peas- (6 twenty five ft. rows ) Sugar Snap (Cascadia) Kohlrabi- (2 fifty ft. rows ) Early White Vienna Lettuce- Red Deer Tongue, Green Tongue Spinach- Bloomsdale Potatoes-(12 fifty ft. rows each) Yukon Gold, Red Norland Onions-(6 fifty ft. rows each) Green/Garden , Yellow Granex (a Vidlia type) Garlic-(3 fifty ft. rows each) for Green Garlic Tomato- 432 Big Beef, 96 Lemon Boy When it dries out enough we still have a lot of planting to do, we are about month behind. End of the Row… CSA Members- We are still receiving new members, and we are in the process of setting up pick up days and times and will notify you via email soon. Vegetables should start coming in about mid-May. Recipes- This year we plan to offer more recipes with our produce and some other suggestions you may find helpful. We also have recipes on our website. Food Storage- For those who can or freeze, please let us know. We will have #2 and canning grade vegetables available. There are many who won’t buy anything but #1, they worry about the looks or size but the flavor and nutrition is still there. Mom-“My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw.
