EVAA BASKETBALL SHOT CLUB PROGRAM Eastview Athletic Association Traveling Basketball has developed the 5,000 and 10,000 Shot Club as an off-season program to encourage boys and girl to do more shooting. The Shot Club program will be offered to players intending to try-out for Travel basketball in 4th through 8th grade (please use your Fall of 2017 grade) Good and consistent basketball shooters are made in the off-season through proper technique and repetition. Players keep track of the number of attempted shots between June 1st and September 30th 2017 (Four months) during the off-season by distance and type of shot. Those players who cross the 5,000 or 10,000 “attempted” shot threshold receive an award and recognition for their accomplishment. How to Participate Players use Monthly Scorecard located on the EVAA Traveling Basketball website under Coach and Player Development. Use the scorecard for the player's current grade level in the Fall of 2017. Players then record the number of shots attempted in each of the shot categories outlined on the Monthly Scorecard (e.g. 1-3 foot shots, 1015 foot shots, etc.). At the end of each month, players have a parent or legal guardian approve and email it to the EVAA Shot Club Coordinator listed on the bottom of the card. Once the scorecard is received, the Shot Club Coordinator will enter the data into their own database. Periodically through the summer, the Shot Club Coordinator will try to send updates to each player to make sure everything is on track for their goal. Program Awards & Recognition Players that cross the 5,000 or 10,000 attempted shot thresholds will be recognized and may receive these following types of awards: 5,000 Shot Club Gift card
