Everest Winter Attempt. The six-man Korean expedition which attempted the South Col route on Everest was led by On In-Hwan. They set up Base Camp, Camps I, II, III and IV at 5300, 5500, 6500, 7400 and 8000 meters during December. Neo Young-Ho and four Sherpas reached the South Col twice, on December 17 and 22.
