EWGA Cup 8-‐Person Match Play Teams Chapter Qualifying Rounds Regional Cup Qualifier National Cup Finals The EWGA Cup is an amateur match play competition conducted under the direction of the EWGA Association Headquarters (EWGA). Teams are accepted into the competition on a first-‐come first-‐serve basis and a chapter can send multiple teams as long as they are fully registered by the due date. Competition is conducted in two stages of play: Cup Qualifier – 18 holes of Four-‐Ball* and 18 holes of Singles** completed over 2 days to determine the teams that will advance to The Cup Finals. National Championship -‐ The Cup Finals – 18 holes of Four-‐Ball* and 18 holes Singles** completed over 2 days. Each member of a team is awarded half a point (.5) for a win in the Four-‐Ball match and one whole point (1) for a win in the Singles match. At the Qualifier, a selected number of teams with the highest Team Scores will advance to the Finals.
CalCup 12-‐Person Match Play Team Chapter Qualifying Rounds Cal Cup Cal Cup is an amateur match play competition for all California and Nevada Chapters. Each chapter can send one team. Our Northeast Bay Chapter will hold qualifying rounds of net stroke play resulting in the nine best performing players selected for the team. There will be an additional two Captain’s picks plus the Captain to make up the 12-‐person team. Pairings for team play will be determined by the Team Captain. You must attend at least two of the three qualifying events in order to be considered for the team. Qualifying Events: ! Paradise Valley on May 31st ! Hiddenbrook on June 13th ! Chapter Championship at Metropolitan on June 27th The competition is held over two days: Day One – Team Play: 3 teams will play Four-‐Ball and 3 teams will play Foursomes Day Two – Singles: All 12 individuals will compete in Singles Match Play competition Each member of a team is awarded half a point (.5) for a win in the Team match and one whole point (1) for a win in the Singles match. The chapter with the most points brings home the trophy.
