MARITIME GLOUCESTER: FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY WOOD WORKING/BOAT BUILDING ON THE DOCKS JUNE 26-30 – Ages 11-15 six student limit Build a small wooden skiff in the Boat Shop. Learn the fundamentals of woodshop safety, using hand tools and basic woodworking skills under the supervision of an expert boat builder. Explore the harbor in dories, gig boats and a pinky schooner sailboat. Class size limited to six students, so register early.

COASTAL EXPLORERS SAILING AND SCIENCE Session 1: JULY 10-14 - Ages 8-11 Session 2: JULY 24-28 – Ages 8-11 Explore Gloucester Harbor and other communities of Cape Ann aboard the traditional Gloucester fishing schooner Ardelle. Learn to sail plotting courses to local coastal communities. Climb the lighthouse on Thacher Island, navigate to Dry Salvages to see seals up close, explore tide pools and a shipwreck. Fun and a new adventure await you each day!

HARBOR DISCOVERY JULY 17-21 - Ages 8-11 For kids who enjoyed our school year Ocean Explorers this program is for you. The working waterfront is our classroom. Enjoy the aquarium, scavenger hunts, hauling lobster traps, conducting research, waterfront visits, and getting out on the water. Available only to rd th Gloucester 3 through 5 grade students.

COASTAL EXPLORERS VOYAGERS AUGUST 7-11 - Ages 12-15 Be part of the crew on the Schooner Ardelle on daily voyages to ports and islands along the North Shore in search of adventure and excitement. Experience shipboard life by plotting courses, hauling sails, tying knots, and handling a vessel. Learn valuable lessons in leadership and teamwork.
