Sign your fourth- through eighth-grade students up to participate in the spelling bee by registering your school with the Scripps National Spelling Bee office at www.spellingbee.com. After registering, you will be able to download study guides for your students, and you will receive certificates in the mail to be awarded to them. Every student will receive an unforgettable opportunity to take part in a fun, educationally stimulating and nationally recognized academic competition — and the chance to compete at the regional, Central Oklahoma and National bees! Also, be sure to look in The Oklahoman every Monday from October 12 through November 2 for lessons related to the spelling bee! The lessons will help familiarize your students with and prepare them for the spelling bee. They also will provide fun bee-related activities in English, history, geography, math and technology for students in grades 4 through 8.
