Thank You Spud Alumni !! Over the holidays I had the pleasure of attending a long standing Moorhead Hockey tradition in the Spud Boys alumni game. I also had the pleasure of attending what I hope becomes a new tradition; the Spud Girls alumni game. In both games there were recent graduates back that are still playing competitive hockey as well as players representing both the first boys team and first girls team to play in the High School state tournament. In both the Boys and Girls games there were past and present college hockey players, national champions, professional players, etc. I felt a great sense of pride in attending both events as I settled on two thoughts: 1) we have a truly great hockey tradition, and 2) we have an incredible hockey community. Thank you to our alumni for all the effort you put in to give our community joy and pride. Moorhead Youth Hockey will once again be a part of
Giving Hearts Day, 2016! Match Donors needed! Moorhead Youth Hockey will once again be a participant of Giving Hearts Day which will take place on February 11th, 2016. We are excited to be a part of the biggest charity day of the year where non-profits are impacted greatly by the generosity of their supporters. We are looking for businesses and/or individuals who would consider becoming a Match Donor for Moorhead Youth Hockey. Whether it’s $50 or $5000, EVERY dollar donated results in MYHA continuing to provide excellence to our youth. Our goal is to have committed donations from Match Donors totaling $4000 or more by January 25th, 2016. Are you willing to become a part of this monumental day of giving? Does supporting youth hockey in Moorhead matter to you? If so, please consider being a Match Donor today! MEETING NOTICE The Board of Directors of Moorhead Youth Hockey meets on the third Wednesday of each month. At each meeting the financial records of the association and its gaming subsidiary are available to review by the members of the association. All members are invited to attend. The next scheduled meeting will be held on Wednesday January 20th at 7:00pm, in the MYHA Board Room. If you would like to be added to the agenda please contact Julie Durgin at 233-5021 or email [email protected] at least one week prior to the meeting.

Rookies, Mites, and 8U Skate with the SPUDs Thanks to a great partnership with the High School coaching staffs, we’ve expanded our Skate with the SPUDs program to include having our youth teams skating between periods at 10 different High School games this year. Mark your calendars and watch for additional details from your coach / parent coordinator prior to your game.
