F ind the matching Numicon Shapes A matching activity What you will need... • Numicon Feely Bag • Numicon Shapes (two of each Shape 1-10) • Numicon 0-5 and 5-10 dice
What to do... • •
Choose three different Shapes and put them on the table. Ask your child to find the three Shapes that match and put them in the Feely Bag. Take turns to point to one of the Shapes on the table and feel in the Bag to find the matching Shape. Pull the Shape out of the Bag to check. photo 1
What next... When your child can do the first part easily, try this: • Ask your child to choose a dice, throw it and find the matching Shape. photo 2 • Can they collect all ten Shapes? Or this: • •
Put one set of Shapes in the Feely Bag. Ask your child to choose a dice, throw it, and feel for the matching Shape from the Feely Bag.
