The 25 flower projects in this book can be presented for classes in an endless variety of ways from a “Flower of the Month” (3 or 6 month offering) to a oneday class on single or multiple flowers. Topics can range from seasonal flowers (ex. poinsettia for Christmas) or can be organized by technique (ex. needle felting).

Single Classes: • • • •

Single Flower Class: Pick one flower from the book to create a class and/or kit. Flower Trunk Show: Share your samples with your customers in different ways such as accessories on hats, purses and clothing. Use other store samples to increase exposure to ALL your shop offerings Show & Tell or Make & Share Class: Send out a call to customers to make their favorite flowers from the book (encourage them to make doubles) and have them bring to an event to trade, show and share. Kanzashi Flower: Share & demo both the traditional method from the book on the Tailored Tie Flower & introduce the Clover Kanzashi tools.

Class Series:

• Needle Felting: Many of the flowers in the book are created using needle felting techniques on wool. All of the following projects can be used with the following: wool and roving, Clover’s needle felting tools (pen or standard style), Clover’s large or small mat.

Flowers that feature needle felting: Rounded Rosettes, Passion Poppy, Pretty Petals, Painterly Pansies, and Wool Daffodil • Recycle/Repurpose: Many projects take advantage of the huge DIY trend of recycling & re-purposing fabrics. Why not shop the thrift stores yourself and add a fee to class cost that allows students to dig into your store stash of recyclable materials. It is a great community building (and profit building) class. The following flowers can be made into a series of classes where students bring materials to share. Flowers that feature recycling/repurposing: Vintage Rose Cuff (doilies & lace), Rolled Sweater Rose (sweaters), Frilly Flower Necklace (t-shirts), Ragged-edge Rose (denim or woolens), Tailored Tie Flowers (men’s ties & zipper trim), Selvedge Dahlia (selvedge edges of fabric), and Ribbed Rose Sweater Scarf (sweaters)

• Yo-Yo Flowers: Take advantage of Clover’s Quick Yo-Yo Makers in all sizes to create the following flower projects.

• Machine Methods: Teach your students how to use the stitches on their sewing machine with a series of classes featuring one these flowers.
