God’s continued blessings to you! Thank you Bob & Kim for sharing the lovely flowers for our worship services. MISSIONARIES THIS WEEKEND ~ We welcome missionaries Rev. Dan & Dr. Joan Jastram. Dr. Jastram will preach in all of our services this weekend. The Jastrams are preparing to move to Japan to serve as full-time LCMS missionaries. We will gather a special door offering to help them with raising necessary funds for their missionary service. IN BIBLE STUDY Dr. Jastram will lead a special mission presentation at 9:15 a.m. in the Christian Life Center. Dr. Jastram will share more details about the mission work he will soon carry out in Japan and elsewhere in Asia as he educates the next generation of Lutheran pastors and missionaries in this region of the world. DOOR OFFERING ~ If you would like to make a donation to support the Jastrams' missionary work, please make checks payable to the "LCMS" and write "Jastram Asia Support" on the memo line. Your support is greatly appreciated! VOTERS MEETING ~ The quarterly voters meeting is today at 11:45 a.m. Recommendations from the Council & Elders will include calling Pastor Kory as Associate Pastor, calling a Senior Pastor from the field, and establishing a call committee. A summary of the congregational self-study survey will be shared as well as other reports and business items. A light lunch will be provided during the meeting. CHURCH LIBRARY UPDATE Two ladies in our congregation have been especially busy in revamping our church library! We thank Chris Hartmann and Annette Jarratt for their many hours spent organizing, labeling, and cataloging library resources. Please make good use of your church library resources! If you haven't looked lately, you might be surprised at what's available. Whether you're looking for some guidance in marriage or parenting, or in need of some inspiration or a better understanding of our Lutheran theology, there are many options to choose from. Please use the check-out sheet and return box to the left of the library.

SUNDAY SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We need a teacher for the Parent and 2s class. Please volunteer to be a Teacher or Helper this year. We can make almost anything work in regard to scheduling. Contact JoAnn Hirsch. COMFORT FOOD ~ As part of the Matthew 28 Project, Faith’s Stephen Ministers have begun a new ministry designed to deliver a meal to members in a time of need, such as: a death, loss of job, illness, or birth. Dinners have been prepared and are ready for delivery. Please contact Pastor Kory (332-3401), Clara Johnson (310-2427), or Krista Erickson (366-4372) if you know of a member in need of this ministry. CHURCH CUSTODIAN VACANCY Faith Lutheran Church is seeking a person or persons who are interested in performing the paid part-time duties of church custodian. Interested persons should contact trustee John Hirsch, 660-3104. CENTER OF HOPE ~ The Fall Benefit will be Sat., Oct. 24, 5:30 – 9 pm, at Sioux Falls Christian Schools. A dinner will be served at 7 p.m. at NO cost. More information is available at www.centerofhopesf.org. PROJECT CAR FUNDRAISER ~ Project Car is sponsoring its 12th annual Soup, Sandwich, and Sweets Day, Thurs., Oct. 22, from 11 am-1:30 pm and 4:30 - 7 pm at First Lutheran Church (327 S. Dakota Ave). Take out available, call 332-2777. LOOKING FOR YOUNG ADULT LEADERS The Middle School Ministry (grades 5-7) is looking for college-aged members or married couples to volunteer. YOUNKERS COUPONS Faith Lutheran Youth Group members, grades 8–12, are making plans to attend the 2016 National Youth Gathering in New Orleans and are selling Younkers Community Days booklets for $5. -Faith Lutheran Youth Group keeps 100% of the booklet price and the customer receives up to $500 in special offers at any of the Younkers family of stores. -Community Days will be held from Wednesday, November 11 through Saturday, November 14. -Booklets can be purchased at the Welcome Desk or from any of the youth group members. MAIN STREET LIVING – OCTOBER 24 Watch "Kids Crossing" at 10 a.m. on KDLT. "Main Street Living" airs at 10:30 a.m. Rev.
