Unlike many other sports, learning to row as a teenager is a perfect age to start. If you haven’t yet found a sport that fits you, definitely give rowing with NCC a try! Is Fall the ‘off season’ for your primary sport? There is no better low impact, total body workout than rowing to keep you in top physical condition. Get out of the gym for a while and into a b oat, where you will undoubtedly have fun, make n ew friends and build skills for life while rowing with North Cascades Crew! For rowers who wish to compete, there are regattas each season and for those who compete through high school, scholarship opportunities are possible. Many colleges also offer club rowing as an activity and learning now will help you connect when you h ead to college. Lake Stevens is an incredible location to row and NCC is a welcoming and inclusive community of rowers with a mission to foster the love of rowing in our youth of Snohomish County. ü NCC provides a Fun, Safe, Positive environment for kids 11-‐18! ü NCC emphasizes a Team Work and Personal Goals ü NCC provides Experienced Professional Coaching with a resume of high achieving and decorated athletes ü Additional training days are offered for competitive rowers ü Fall & Spring Sessions include professional land fitness training ü NCC members are Stewards of Lake Stevens through our p artnership with Snohomish County Parks and Recreation and the youth education p rogram with the Snohomish Conservation District
