Fall Festival is Next Saturday—9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Our Fall Festival, which is always a fun day in our community, is coming next Saturday, October 5th. If you can volunteer to help make a success of this outreach funfilled day, please see Jenn Thurman or Jeanene LeSure. In addition to workers, we are still in need of candy donations to fill children’s goody bags to take home with them. There’s a bin in the foyer for us to fill up with non-melting, individually wrapped, candies for those bags. Additionally, for one of our games, Kathi Grist needs small empty containers from yogurt and/or sour cream. We still need more volunteers’ names on the sign-up sheets on the hallway bulletin board. Check it out!

Next Sunday, October 6th . . . We will be having a Combined Worship Tent Service, centering on children. Our worship service will be at 10 a.m. and we will not be having Bible classes that day. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and invite your guests to bring their chairs too.

Also Next Sunday October 6th . . . The T.R.U.T.H. Group and College Class will be having a cook-out and playing volleyball, beginning at 5:30 p.m. If you plan to attend, please put your name on the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the hallway.

M.A.G.I. (Healing Hands) Project Thanks to the ladies who donated to M.A.G.I. (Healing Hands) Project this year, we are sending $300 to this outreach to provide Christmas boxes for needy children in impoverished countries. Many children will be touched by the love of Christians in the name of Jesus in those countries this Christmas season.

EEM’s Million Dollar Sunday TODAY is the day. It’s Million Dollar Sunday! That’s EEM’s goal—to raise $1 million! We will be donating whatever our contribution is over $5,000. If you would like to donate directly to this special work, you can just write “EEM” on the memo line of your check and our office will make sure that that amount goes directly to their work.

October Game Night Our next Game Night will be on October 12th, at the building, starting with dinner at 5:30 p.m. Menu TBA. See Barbara Hall for more info.

YAHOO Outing The YAHOO’s will be traveling to Cedar Key to take in the Arts & Seafood Festival on October 19th. Sometime BEFORE dawn cracks on that day (about 6:00 a.m.) a bus will be in our parking lot to take all the YAHOOs to this laid-back, old-Florida, fishing village. The fee for the bus ride is $30 each. Plan to give your cash or check to Bobby Groves whenever its convenient. The buss will bring you back to our parking lot about 5:30-6 p.m. And be sure to eat clam chowder while you’re there . . .
