An angel lived among us, A gift from God above. She showered us with kindness And shared with us her love. She cherished every moment With the man who was her life; Walking hand in hand together, Facing life with all its strife. She loved her children dearly, Each one a different way, Nestled close within her heart. Though, now, she's far away. She's gone to live with Jesus. But, she's here with us, today, Smiling down on every one of us, And telling us she's okay.

Order of Service
Reflections of Her Life And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Mrs. Geraldine S. Jennings was born December 7, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the beloved daughter of the late Doretha Sligh and Richard Sligh, Sr. She departed this earthly life on Monday, March 14, 2016 in Columbia, South Carolina. She was 69.
For a number of years, Mrs. Jennings was a faithful and dedicated member of Christ Mission Church in West Columbia, South Carolina. She was a faithful missionary, church secretary, and choir member. Mrs. Jennings also taught children’s Sunday School and helped with the young adult choir. Mrs. Jennings retired in 2001 from The University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business as the supervisor of the operator computer room. Although her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit of love, joy, and peace will live in the lives and hearts of all those who loved and knew her.
Those left to mourn Geraldine’s passing and cherish her memories are: her children, David (LaTongia) Jennings and Dareline (Marvin) Jennings-Bracey, both of Columbia, South Carolina; her sisters, Dortha Dantzler, Annette (James) Jackson, both of Columbia, South Carolina, and Minister Scharline Hart of Sterling, Virginia; brothers, Richard Sligh, Robert Sligh, both of Columbia, South Carolina; four sistersin-law: Thelma Sligh, Ruby Sligh, Thelma (Oliver) Jones, and Haritte (Erskin Brimfield) Jennings, four brothers-in-law: Charles Jennings, Bobby Jennings, Theodore Pagan, and King Dennis, three grandchildren: Christinia, Joshua, and Johnathan, who loved their grandmother dearly; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lee Jennings, her parents and a sister.

Prelude
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. 2 Serve
the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know
ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter
into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For
the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
