Liberty FC PLAYER/FAMILY CONTRACT 2014-‐2015 Liberty FC Premier Soccer Club LIBERTY FC is a premier soccer club located in northeast, Ohio. Our objective is to develop club members and help them to maximize their potential as players, young people and future role models. We strive to provide a quality soccer organization with quality players and coaches so that our club will be competitive in the state of Ohio.. They will learn the importance of DESIRE, DEDICATION and DISCIPLINE as they have FUN learning to play “The Beautiful Game”. This contract will give you guidelines as to what the staff of LIBERTY FC expects at all times of its players and parents. Liberty must maintain standards that enable the club, coaches, and players to participate at the premier level of youth soccer. Participating at this level of competition requires ability, commitment, and behavior that go beyond that of a recreational focus. Therefore, to help establish and maintain that guideline of standards, this Player/Parent contract must be read, fully understood, and agreed by all Liberty FC players and families. Conduct of Liberty FC Players Remember that you are representing LIBERTY FC and yourself at all times, on and off the field. Show respect to your coaches, teammates and referees. We only want the highest quality people associated with our program. Commitment and Attendance of Liberty FC Players “Without commitment, nothing gets done” is our club motto. We understand that everyone will at one time or another, have a conflict with training and game schedules. It is our expectation that each player will do their best to commit to all training sessions and games during a season. We prefer that you make your Liberty team a priority during the competitive season. If this is not possible, you will need to contact your team representative by e-mail at least 72 hours prior to missing a game. When games or practices are missed, it is up to the discretion of the coach to not start that player in the next game or limit their playing time in the first half. Liberty FC Training At each training, LIBERTY FC players are required to wear their GOLD training jersey and black shorts. Players should be prepared with the proper equipment and training uniform and be ready to do their best at all practices. It is important to show up for trainings on time and be ready to play when practice begins. Liberty FC Coaches Liberty FC coaches will prepare and provide an organized approach to training. Coaches will work to develop the “whole” soccer player by providing age-appropriate technical and tactical training. Liberty FC coaches also commit to continue their coaching education through courses, conferences and other educational materials and opportunities. Liberty coaches WILL NOT allow players to play the positions they want at the expense of the team or compromise the greater good of team or club to satisfy a player or parent. Liberty FC Game Day Game schedules and directions to all the fields are available on the club’s website. Each player needs to be at the soccer field 30 minutes before game time. Please make sure to bring ALL your LIBERTY FC gear and proper equipment to every game. Players that show up late for warm-ups may not start and if they show up after the game starts, are not guaranteed playing time in the first half.
Liberty FC Tournaments Each LIBERTY FC team will participate in one mandatory tournament per session. This tournament is included in the cost of that season. There will be an opportunity to play in one additional tournament at an additional cost if there is enough interest. It is IMPORTANT FOR THE PARENTS TO RESPOND BY THE GIVEN DEADLINE if your child can play or not. Rosters and money are due from the club in advance for a tournament and are not refunded. Liberty FC Communication Communication is primarily through e-mails and the LIBERTY FC website. Each team is assigned a “Team Representative” that will be the main point of contact for you. They will send out weekly reminders and updates as necessary. We strongly recommend that you check your e-mails and the website ON A DAILY BASIS. There will be no phone calls to remind players and parents of the schedule or cancellations. The schedule for the current season and all changes or cancellations will be available on the club’s website - www.libertyfc.org. Players are encouraged to keep open channels of communication with their coach at any time. The Liberty FC DOC, Tavi Muresan, has an “open door” policy. If you have any concerns regarding your player or any coaching issue please contact him at [email protected] . Liberty FC Role of Parents The role of each parent is extremely important for all young athletes. The coaches ask for parents to stay a fair distance away from the fields during training. At our Pinnacle trainings, parents are never allowed into the fenced field area. We also ask that coaches are not to be approached by parents at trainings or games either before or afterwards concerning their player. This is a time for both the coaches and players to be focused on the task at hand. In addition, it is the responsibility of the parents to get their players to practices and games on time. We encourage parents, family and friends to attend games and applaud good play. There is, however, to be NO COACHING BY PARENTS from the sidelines during games or trainings. Liberty FC Cost to Participate The cost to participate and join LIBERTY FC varies depending on the age of the player and the team they are on. All fees include coaching expenses, administration, league and tournament fees. The fees do not include transportation to and from trainings, games or tournaments. Players that are invited to join our club are asked to make a full year commitment and not just a season commitment. We will NOT hold roster positions. If you choose to sit out a season, your position will be opened up for another player. Once you have accepted a roster spot the fees are NOT REFUNDABLE. This includes in the event of an injury, because you change your mind, or forgot to notify the Club Director. If you choose to leave Liberty FC during the season, there will be a $150 release fee. It is the PARENTS RESPONSIBILITY to notify Tavi Muresan at [email protected] if you choose to not participate for a season BEFORE the payment deadline for the next season. Payments are due on dates noted above or a $25 late fee will be charged for missed payments. LIBERTY FC does offer a max. of 2 scholarships per season. If any player needs financial assistance contact Tavi Muresan to set up a payment plan. *NOTE: Players will not be placed on a team roster until a contract is received. All previous balances from previous years must be paid in full to be considered for this years' roster. Positions are not secured until payment is received.
