The goal of SWA’s research project Farm Plus is to create a holistic guide to agriculture as a landscape program element, and to educate landscape architects on its importance, requirements, and strategies for implementation—all in an effort to achieve a more environmentally sustainable food system. Farm Plus investigated mechanisms by which landscape architects can create and preserve active farmland in urbanized areas. Research focused primarily on methods of fostering partnerships
