IN CINEMAS Review by Aaron Potter

FAST & FURIOUS 8 Just when you thought it wasn’t possible for any more cast members to join the ever-growing Fast & Furious line up, Dom and family are set to race back onto cinema screens this April helmed by new director F. Gary Gray who takes over the wheel in the franchise’s eighth instalment. Expect faster cars, even crazier stunts, and plenty more exotic locales to drive across as the fate of the furious family is set to experience its greatest challenge yet – betrayal. The Fast & Furious movies aren’t known for sticking to the laws of gravity, and thankfully this April’s Fast & Furious 8 isn’t looking to change that, all thanks to femme fatale baddie Charlize Theron who provokes the team to undertake another globetrotting tyre-squealing adventure.

Throw in the need to team up with previous villain Jason Statham, and it’s safe to say that bonds will be broken.

In honour of Fast & Furious once again getting ready to start its engines, Cineworld Bristol and Direct Local Magazine are teaming up by letting Fast fans wheelie recapture your sense of adventure with a white-water rafting experience. To be in with a chance of winning, simply head over to facebook.com/directlocal for details. Once you’ve done that, feel free take to the track and experience the action on the big screen at Cineworld Bristol in Hengrove from April 12th, especially if you feel the need, the need for speed. And visit soundcloud.com/ThePictureBlock for plenty of spoiler-filled Fast & Furious podcast discussion if you like listening movies as well as watching them.

Until next time, on your marks, get set, FAMILY!
