Name: Abby Schefka Grade: Junior GPA: 4.0 Parents: Bruce and Val Schefka Current Sport: Girls Basketball Other Sports: Golf Week in Review: Abby Schefka has helped lead the Lady Spartans to win 4 out of their last 5 games. During this stretch she is averaging 12.5 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per game. At the snow coming game vs. Richmond, Abby made two free throws the seal the victory for the Spartans. This past Tuesday night, Abby made two free throws in the closing seconds to give IC the one point victory over the visiting Capac Chiefs.

Mom and Dad taught me to work hard by setting a good example. They continue to push me to do my best.
Why do you enjoy participating in athletics? It’s a good way to be around friends, by competitive, and exercise.
Goals for the Rest of the Season: Finish strong and win districts. After high school I plan too… Attend either Michigan State, or Oakland University and major in elementary education.
What do you attribute to your success in the classroom and in athletics? Balance is important, too much of one or the other can be stressful.
