FC Little League 2018 Baseball District All Stars Commitment Letter FC Little League Baseball intends to field all-star teams for all eligible age groups for participation in the District 5 Little League All Star tournament. As a registered player in baseball at FC Little League, your son will be eligible to be considered to play in the District 5 all-star tournament. 1. League Ages and Divisions: a. 7 year old machine pitch b. 8 year old machine pitch c. 9 year old kid pitch d. 9-10 year old MINORS Baseball e. 10-11 year old Baseball f.
11-12 year old MAJORS Baseball
g. 50/70 INTERMEDIATE Baseball h. 13-14 JUNIORS Baseball 2. Selection of All-Stars: a. Players will be made based on observation during evaluations, regular season play, and all-star tryouts, if necessary. Voting and player selection will be made by the league coaches, assistant coaches, league representatives and FC Little League Baseball board members for each age division as directed by the league’s player agent. b. Teams will be announced on or around June 1. 3. Commitment to All-Stars: a. Playing district all-stars requires a dedication and commitment beyond that of the regular season. The time commitment for all-stars, including practices and tourney, for ages 7-9 typically last from June 1- July 15. The time commitment for all stars for ages 10-14 will typically last from June 1-end of July (or even beyond if the teams advance to or beyond the state LL tourney). Thus, ONLY those players and coaches that truly desire to commit their time and availability should elect to participate.
4. Requirements for All-Stars: If you wish to be considered for district all-stars, the following requirements must be met: a. Eligible players must have participated in at least 60% of their regular season games in an appropriate age division as required by Little League rules. b. Players must reside in the FC Little League boundary map or attend school within the boundary map. (Note - Players participating at district all stars will be required to provide proof of residency.) c. Players and families will be required to execute a commitment letter indicating their availability and willingness to participate as an all-star from June 1 through completion of tournament play. Players will not be selected to the all-star teams without a commitment letter from each player and family. d. Each player selected to district all-stars will be required to pay $150.00 for participation. This fee will be used to cover fees, uniforms, and equipment. (Note – FC Little League will cover this participation fee for any family unable to afford but desiring and committed to play.). This fee is non-refundable in the event a player decides not to participate or quits the team.
COMMITMENT STATEMENT
I/We _______________________________, parent/guardian of ________________________________ are committed to letting our son play in the Little League District All-Stars Tournament. We understand the expectation that he attend practices and tourney games unless excused by the coach. It is understood that a failure to follow the commitment may result in my son being removed from the allstar team at the coach’s request and approval of the FC Little League Baseball Board. I further understand that the participation fee is non-refundable.
