Visit Old Town Museum’s Heritage Hall September 1-2, 2012 during the Harvest Fest to visit with Liz, watch her at work, and get a glimpse of her artistry! Liz Moncrief was an instructor in the fiber arts for Utah State University and worked with the Department of Natural History and the State Pioneer Museum in textile preservation and restoration. She’s an avid weaver and maintains a studio of several weaving looms and spinning wheels for teaching. She has been published in HANDWOVEN, the hand-weavers periodical from Interweave Press, is a qualified judge for several art and fiber venues, and has given workshops and seminars on all aspects of the primitive arts. Her interests also extend to the non-fiber realm and she’s been using natural ingredients for soaps and body care products for several years.
