FENWICK CUP COMPETITION RULES 1. The competition shall be arranged and ran under the authority of Aldbrough St. John Cricket Club. 2. Entry is by invitation only. The entry fee shall be £5. 3. The final shall be played at Aldbrough St. John on the date stated. 4. The games shall consist of one innings each side and not more than 20 six-ball overs per innings. Games shall start at 6.00 pm. 5. Each team shall provide its own ball of Darlington & District Cricket League standard or better. 6. In all rounds up to the final, each team is to provide one umpire. In the final, Aldbrough St. John Cricket Club shall appoint two umpires. 7. Players shall be bona-fide members of the respective clubs, and shall not have played in the Premier Division or Division 1 of the North Yorkshire South Durham League, or equivalent or higher leagues, in the current season. 8. All disputes shall be submitted to the competition secretary, whose decision shall be final. 9. The winning team shall hold the Fenwick Cup, and the runner up the Shield, until June 1 the following year. These are to be returned in a clean condition. 10. In the event of a match being rained off after the start of play, the game shall be replayed from scratch on a re-arranged date. 11. In the event of a tie, the team losing the fewer wickets shall be the winners. If the teams can still not be separated, the tie shall be decided on a toss of a coin. 12. The winning captain shall be responsible for forwarding the result to the competition secretary immediately after the game. 13. The maximum length of run up for any bowler shall be 12 metres. Marks 12 meters behind each wicket shall be made before a game commences.
