Firefighter Ryan Berezanski has been an active member with the St.Paul Fire Department since 2010. Ryan’s current job is with the Town of St.Paul Municipal Enforcement as a Peace Officer. Some of Ryan’s hobbies include sledding, fishing, spending time with his family and friends, and hitting up games of the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Eskimos. Ryan is a huge Eskimos fan. When asked why he joined the fire service it was simple, “I enjoy serving the community and public. I also feed off the adrenaline rush of when a call comes in and I really enjoy the family atmosphere of the fire department members”. What Ryan enjoys most about the fire service is the camaraderie, family, support, community service and commitment. By giving back to your community, you are not only helping your community grow stronger, you are also helping yourself become stronger. Keep in mind that no matter where you live in the world, you are not alone. Therefore, in order to succeed in life, it is crucial that you work with those around you. Ryan favorite apparatus to ride in is in the back Pumper 3. Ryan is also the fire department mascot (Sparky) at times because the suit fits him so well.
