About Community Food Bank Community Food Bank serves 5 counties in the Central Valley, including Fresno, Madera, Kings, Tulare and Kern. Through our 200 agency partnerships, each month we provide food to more than 280,000 people of whom nearly 100,000 are children.

Team Captain Responsibilities The Team Captain acts as the organizer, communicator and manager of the team and serves as the liaison between the team and Community Food Bank. Team Captains will “train” the team members as well as provide them with materials and ideas for fundraising.

With our Thanks Each team member who raises $100 or more will receive a commemorative t-shirt! Fundraisers who exceed $250 and $500 will be entered respectively into drawings to receive additional

awards.

Hunger Heroes Campaign

10 x 10 x 10 Model

Hunger Heroes is a Funds Collection Campaign, during which, teams raise money by asking everyone they know to make a donation. The Campaign benefits the work of Community Food Bank – providing food and hope to local Central Valley families who struggle with hunger.

Our 10 x 10 x 10 Model helps to effectively put your fundraising capacity into perspective (this model provides a basis for comparison – numbers will vary, more or less). For example, if a team of 10 people (remember, you can have as many as you wish), each secure 10 people (you can ask for more) to give them a minimum of $10 each (they can give more) = $1,000 minimum raised! You can imagine what can happen when these numbers increase! Your team can raise money to provide literally thousands of meals!

Turning in Funds How Hunger Heroes Works You can create a Business, Organization or Family & Friends Team. ANYONE can join your team, so invite everyone to help! Large companies may want to create smaller sub-teams, each with its own team captain, within their larger one. This helps with management of the team and is a great way to offer friendly competition among the staff. Fundraising “activities” are encouraged! During the Fundraising Campaign, team members raise funds by asking everyone they know to support the cause. Everyone can help

Bank Days will be arranged throughout the Campaign to assist with the turn-in of funds raised. So, be sure to communicate with your Team Captain for details.

Hit the Streets and Knock Out Hunger! On Street Corner Day, registered teams will take to the streets to collect funds from passers-by. Teams may request specific street corners on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Let’s Celebrate! Team captains, team members and their immediate family members are invited to help celebrate our impact against hunger. There will be food, vendor booths and activities. Trophies and accolades will be awarded. Sponsorships are available.
