Finance Manager – Viceland International Finance Director - Viceland International
Overview: VICE is the world’s preeminent youth media company and content creation studio. Roles and Responsibilities: This role will be dedicated to Financial Control, Reporting and Business Planning & Analysis for Viceland International. Viceland International Channels are currently operating in UK, France, New Zealand, Africa, Israel, Belgium & Holland. Key Responsibilities: Monthly Reporting
Ownership of monthly management accounts process for Viceland International, working alongside the Assistant Management Accountant & ensuring accounts comply with appropriate accounting standards (US GAAP & FRS102)
Liaise with Viceland International & US teams including Finance, Marketing, Technical & Programming to manage costs for local channels & recharge of costs incurred on monthly basis
Responsible for submitting month end reporting & Quarterly packs to deadline to EMEA Regional Team including providing commentary on variances
Responsible for ensuring all revenue statements are correct/in line with contract & billing is done in a timely manner by Accounts Receivable team.
Track delivery of TV productions in local markets and arrange for invoicing of these
Monthly reconciliation of Intercompany with US & EMEA Vice entities
Develop and implement further reporting and process improvements
Planning & Analysis
Manage the Quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process for TV. Both challenge and support TV General Managers (GMs) in formulating their plans.
Maintain tight budget control & highlight any risks/opportunities to TV GMs
Business Partnering on ad hoc projects
Other
Maintain weekly and long term cashflow forecast and liaise with Treasury Manager
Key contact for year-end audit
Involvement in transitioning to new Netsuite system in 2018
Skills Required: CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant with at least 2 years post qualification experience. Passion for working in the Entertainment/TV/Media Industry Proven experience of working to tight deadlines; working effectively under pressure. The ability to business partner and communicate with finance & non-finance stakeholders effectively and articulately for all International regions. A team player with a proactive and enthusiastic approach who takes initiative where needed. Experience of working with multiple currencies Previous experience of SAP/Net Suite would be useful but not essential. Advanced Excel skills. Other:
