“You will develop your observational drawing skills and have the opportunity to explore Painting, Printmaking, Batik and Photography together with contextual studies in order to gain knowledge and understanding of Art History as it relates to your practical work. In Year 13 you will write a visual Personal Investigation (1,000-3,000 words) on a topic related to Art.”

In Year 12 you will produce a portfolio that will consist of two coursework units that reflect your ideas, skills and use of media. In Year 13 you will develop your practical work, gaining greater expertise throug h practical application of a range of media. You will write a personal investigation (1,000-3,000 words) which will be a visual presentation on a chosen topic. You will select a topic from the examination papers to explore during a six week period before executing a final piece under controlled examination conditions.
