BLOCK ASSEMBLY 1. Half Square Triangle Units: Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of (1) A 1-7/8” square. Place square, right sides together with (1) B 1-7/8” square. Sew ¼” away from and on right and left sides of drawn line. Cut along drawn line. Open and press to yield (2) AB HST UNITS. A

9. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of (1) A 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” square. Place square at a corner of (1) B 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” square. Sew on drawn line. Trim 1/4” away from sewn line. Open and press to reveal A triangle. Repeat with another A 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” square directly diagonal from the first corner triangle on the same B 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” square to complete 1 CORNER UNIT. (Repeat to make 4 corner units.) 10. Sew CORNER UNITS to either side of CENTER UNIT. Arrange and sew units together as shown in diagram below. Sew rows together to complete 1 AB BLOCK.
