This pattern makes 4 placemats and one table runner from one 22” strip set. Just the right project for a gift or to decorate your own table. Come to Sew Nice to see the new strip sets that have just arrived to use in this project. For the beginner and beyond.
English Paper Piecing
Wednesday, March 23rd 12:00-3:00 or 5:00-9:00 Taught by: Jill Nelson Cost: $20.00 + supplies Come learn how to do English Paper Piecing. This is a hand sewing process that makes for a great take along project. This is a different process from paper piecing. Jill will show you all kinds of possibilities for designs that are English Paper Piecing. For the beginner and beyond.
Finishing School
Friday and or Saturday, April 1st and 2nd 10:00-6:00 Taught by: Diane Marvin Cost: $30 for one day, $50 for both days Dig out that pile of projects that you haven’t finished from classes that you took at Sew Nice and sign up for Finishing School. Diane will be here to help you get these UFOs completed. We are setting this class up as a mini retreat. We will be providing lunch and an afternoon snack. Grab those projects and get them finished! When you come for the day you should be able to sew and sew and sew to get things done. What a great way to get things done and you will have Diane available to remind you how to do things.
Friday Frenzie
Friday, March 11th 10:00am - 11:00pm Cost: $10.00
Come join us for a crazy time of sewing, socializing, laughing, eating and just plain fun. Everyone works on their own projects. Friday Frenzies are usually the highlight of your month. So don’t miss out on all the fun. Have you checked out the new Sew Nice website (www.sewnicenorwich.com)? We are still working on the site but we feel that already it is much more user friendly. But we need your help. We have a Gallery page on the new site and at the moment there isn’t anything on that page. What we would like to do is to have photos of completed quilts from classes at Sew Nice. So many times when you take a class you never get to see completed quilts from the other students in the class. Sherry Secrest stopped by to show us her completed Holiday Houses quilt so we quickly took her picture with her beautiful quilt. But Sherry is going to be pretty lonely on the Gallery page all by herself. So if you have a completed class quilt or project please consider taking a photo with you and the quilt and e-mailing it to: [email protected] or bring your quilt into Sew Nice and we will take the photo for you. It should be really fun to share your successes with other quilters.
