309B Finishing Solution Instructions Please read all the instructions before adding the Finishing Solution to your artwork.  Finishing Solution The finishing solution is the last step of the artwork process and is a very important step to the project. We have tested the solution on many projects to come up with the best mixture and best process for applying the solution. If you are going to launder your project, the solution will keep the color on the fabric longer. Over a period of time the coloring will fade just like your fabric.

5. After working the solution up and down covering all of the areas, clean your brush with dish soap and water. Dry with a paper towel. Then use the dry brush working the solution into the fabric covering the areas going left to right. Start in the light areas working your way to the dark areas. Black areas should always be last. 6. Clean brush again with dish soap and water. Dry with a paper towel patting bristles back to original shape. Store paint brush up-right. Work solution into fabric with a white Taklon brush. 7. Allow to dry flat for 24 hours.

If you do not follow the instructions as written, you take a chance of losing your artwork when the project is laundered. The finishing solution is applied directly on top of the artwork. DO NOT OVER SATURATE your fabric.

8. Heat set: Use dry iron to set solution. 9. Store flat with freezer paper on block until ready to use. 10. When squaring the block for the putting the quilt top together, remove freezer paper and iron the back of the block.

CAUTION OVERBLEED Notice area just inside the red line. Solution bleed outside the design area.

1. Choose a small shader Taklon brush size 1/2 inch. NO LARGER. 2. Dip the white Taklon brush into the finishing solution, picking up a little of the solution to add at a time. 3. To apply solution start approximately 1/8 inch on the inside of the outline, working solution up and down covering all of the artwork. 4. Cover all the light areas of the artwork first working your way to the darker areas. Black area should always be last. Be very careful not to apply too much, because as it saturates the fabric it will spread. Too much will cause an over bleed.
