What 4’11” Brock lacks in height, he makes up for with tenacity. At the time of his wish visit, odds were good his favorite player from his favorite baseball team was going to be traded. Loyal to his team, Brock selected an alternate wish. The MLB trade deadline came and went; the second baseman Brock was following so closely hadn’t been traded. Un-phased by this unexpected turn of events, Brock sprang into action, asking his mom to contact Make-A-Wish to find out, with the renewed possibility of a meaningful conversation with his favorite player, “is the switch possible?” 5th Annual NCS RAIDERS

We were almost as excited to say “YES!” as Brock was to hear it.

Growing up with Undifferentiated Auto Immune Disease, Brock is no stranger to defying the odds, himself. Despite his risk of bleeding or injury to his spleen if he is hit with a ball or bat, Brock has continued his love of playing baseball, even the bone marrow transplant he’s scheduled for this summer won’t keep him off the field!
